Community United Against Violence (CUAV)

Founded in 1979, CUAV works to build the power of LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) communities to transform violence and oppression. CUAV supports the healing and leadership of those impacted by abuse and mobilize our broader communities to replace cycles of trauma with cycles of safety and liberation. As part of the larger social justice movement, CUAV works to create truly safe communities where everyone can thrive.

FORGE, for transgender and non-binary survivors

FORGE reduces the impact of trauma on trans/non-binary survivors and communities by empowering service providers, advocating for systems reform, and connecting survivors to healing possibilities. FORGE strives to create a world where ALL voices, people and bodies are valued, respected, honored, and celebrated; where every individual feels safe, supported, respected, and empowered.

LGBT National Hotline and Help Center

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) National Help Center provides vital peer-support, community connections and resource information to people with questions regarding sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Utilizing a diverse group of LGBT volunteers, we operate three national hotlines, the LGBT National Hotline, the LGBT National Youth Talkline, and the LGBT National Senior Hotline as well as private, volunteer one-to-one online chat, that helps both youth and adults with coming-out issues, safer-sex information, school bullying, family concerns, relationship problems and more.

National Resource Center on LGBTQ+ Aging

The National Resource Center on LGBTQ+ Aging is the country's first and only technical assistance resource center focused on improving the quality of services and supports offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender older adults, their families and caregivers.

The Center

The Center fosters a welcoming environment where everyone is celebrated for who they are. The Center offers the LGBTQ communities of NYC advocacy, health and wellness programs; arts, entertainment and cultural events; recovery, parenthood and family support services.

The Mazzoni Center

The Mazzoni Center was founded as Lavender Health in 1979 as an all-volunteer resource to meet the needs of members of the LGBT community. The Mazzoni Center rose to meet the challenge posed by the AIDS crisis in the early 1980s and for more than forty years they have continually risen to meet the challenges the LGBT community has faced in obtaining competent and respectful care.
