Building Project: Domestic Violence Tranquility House of Peace

Domestic violence is a pervasive issue affecting individuals and families worldwide. The need for safe havens and support systems for survivors is critical. Recognizing this, we propose the establishment of a Domestic Violence Tranquility House of Peace—the house was gifted to the organization in December 2023 from the City of Gary it will become a sanctuary where survivors can find refuge, support, and resources to rebuild their lives. The details outlines the necessity, objectives, and the plan for donations, in-kind donations, funding, collaboration, partnership, and volunteer support required to realize this project. To achieve these objectives, we propose the construction of a purpose-built facility that meets the unique needs of survivors. The building will include: Counseling and Support Services: Dedicated area for counseling sessions, group therapy, legal consultations, and educational workshops. Recreational Areas: Spaces for relaxation, recreation, and communal activities to promote healing and well-being. Administrative Offices: Offices for staff members and volunteers to manage operations and coordinate support services. Security Measures: Security systems and protocols to ensure the safety and privacy of Individuals. Residential : Safe and comfortable living spaces equipped with necessary amenities to accommodate survivors. Funding and Support: Building a Domestic Violence Tranquility House of Peace requires substantial financial support and community involvement. We seek funding and support from various sources, including: Government Grants: Applying for grants and funding opportunities from local, state, and federal government agencies dedicated to addressing domestic violence. Corporate Sponsorship: Partnering with businesses and corporations committed to corporate social responsibility initiatives, including community welfare and women's empowerment. Philanthropic Organizations: Seeking support from foundations and philanthropic organizations that prioritize initiatives aimed at ending domestic violence and supporting survivors. Community Fundraising: Organizing fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage the local community and garner support for the project. In-Kind Donations: Soliciting donations of materials, furnishings, and services from individuals and businesses to reduce construction costs and operational expenses.
